Hamburg-based La Boum Fatale built up fragile worlds somewhere between melancholy and euphoria. The two of them combine Electronica, House, Garage and Dubstep to sophisticated arrangements, accompanied by vocals and field recordings. Their sounds create a deep and dense atmosphere.

Shit Robot – Take ‘Em Up


Shit RobotMarcus Lambkin (born 1971) better known by the pseudonym Shit Robot is an Irish electronic musician and DJ.

Working as a DJ in New York in 2000 he befriended James Murphy later of LCD Soundsystem and started a DJ partnership with him.   Lambkin moved to rural Germany in 2004 and started producing his own music, with a number of releases on DFA Records from 2006.  He released his debut album From The Cradle To The Rave in September 2010 to positive reviews. The album features contributions from Alexis Taylor of Hot Chip and James Murphy amongst others.

Hurts – Wonderful Life


Hurts are a British synthpop duo from Manchester composed of singer Theo Hutchcraft and synth player Adam Anderson. In July 2009, the band featured as “Band of the Day” on Guardian.co.uk. They finished in fourth position in BBC’s Sound of 2010 poll.

The band’s song “Wonderful Life” was notably remixed by Arthur Baker. In early 2010 they officially released their debut single, “Better Than Love”, and played their first ever live shows.
